Editorial policy
Checked 2026-10-18
Official records, player reports, interpretations, and suggested practice have different evidence standards. A research summary must not imply that an editor played a build or reproduced a bug.
Method note: the revised roster and achievement reference use the official Steam page data saved on 18 October 2026. Steam publishes the name, description, and api_name together, including Ibex as WinRun_Stag. These are confirmed pairings, not inferred matches. Checking those documents is not first-hand gameplay experience.
Source and evidence standards
We do not take payment for a ranking. There is no affiliate tier list. Bundles are mentioned because the studio announced them, not because we earn a cut from naming them. If that ever changes, the page and this policy will say so in the same edit.
- Use official store records and developer announcements for facts they actually contain. Cite the Steam achievement page for names, descriptions, and IDs; the global percentage API only supplies IDs and unlock percentages.
- The 18 October 2026 official achievement page supersedes the older secondary name and condition matches. It says A Quick Escape requires fewer than 15 minutes in battles, not the older 20-minute secondary wording.
- Label genuinely secondary claims, including console trophy totals that have not been independently checked. A player report is not a reproduced bug, and a missing source field is not proof that a feature is absent.
- Distinguish the page revision date from the observation date of a number. The achievement tables retain explicitly dated 17 October 2026 percentages alongside official text checked on 18 October; an editorial revision does not refresh those observations.
- Player achievement unlock proportions are not per-attempt win rates, run counts, usage shares, or popularity measures. Do not rank beast strength from them.
- Describe practice routines as suggestions unless a documented gameplay test supports them. Do not invent inputs, damage values, rescue rules, or personal experience.
- No piracy links, no “free download” mirrors, no modifier cheats.
- Screenshots are the official Steam 1920×1080 store images, credited to Featherweight Games.
- Corrections: email contact@chainedbeasts.org with the page and evidence. Record what was rechecked; retain historical dates on unchanged snapshots.

Frequently asked questions
Can I send a tip?
Yes. Include a link to the Steam news post or the patch note. Player anecdotes are welcome and will be quoted as player anecdotes.
ContactWhy does the tier page not give letter grades?
The available player unlock proportions do not measure beast strength. A defensible ranking needs an explicit comparison method and evidence the page does not yet have.
Chained Beasts tier list: evidence limitsDoes a source note mean you tested the game?
No. Reading official records establishes what those records say. Gameplay testing, bug reproduction, and completion claims require their own evidence.
