The game is days old and Featherweight has not posted a known-issues list. I will only write problems a player actually described, and I will not invent a fix.

I used the r/Chainedbeasts RSS from the research pass, which kept post titles and the opening lines. I did not reproduce a purple screen or a stuck online lobby, so those competitor-wiki pages stay off this site. If your symptom is not in the table, say so on the studio Discord rather than following a guessed ini edit.

Reports from the first week

Player words, not a patch note. Status is “no official fix posted” as of 2026-10-17.

PS5 buttons	“we need the option to change the buttons on the ps5”	A hidden remap menu. I have not seen one documented.
Difficulty 5	They saw “Tribune” on a video and cannot unlock it after beating rank 4.	That Tribune is the official name. Players call it that. Jupiter is the name on an achievement.
Act 2 boss on launch	“i always start at act 2 boss every time”	A workaround. No studio reply was in the excerpt.

Checks that are actually in the store text

Same-screen co-op on PC wants a gamepad. A keyboard-only couch setup is outside the listed spec.
Linux is not a supported platform. If the install is via a compatibility layer, that is on you, not on a Steam Linux depot.
The demo and the full game are different apps (3978510 and 3569420). A demo bug is not automatically a 1.0 bug.
Verify the game files in Steam before you edit anything. That is generic Steam advice, not a Featherweight patch.

Safe checks for crashes and online problems

Record the platform, game app (demo or full), visible build string, and exact error before changing settings. Remove personal information from screenshots.
For Steam, restart the client and use Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity. This is a generic Steam diagnostic, not a tested fix for this game.
For local co-op, connect a gamepad as required by the PC store specification. Test its input in Steam’s controller settings before starting the game.
For online play, confirm both players are using the full game rather than mixing app 3978510 and app 3569420. Match the mode you are testing; Remote Play Together is not a cross-platform lobby.

A player who beat rank 4 still could not. The studio has not published the unlock rule. The only named rank in an achievement is Jupiter, the tenth.
